Simon Hayes – Chief Executive
Simon joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1993, was appointed head of corporate finance in December 2003 and chief executive in May 2006. During that time, he’s been responsible for developing KBC Peel Hunt’s corporate client base.
He read Classics at Durham University and has an MBA from Cranfield School of Management.

Steven Fine – Managing Director
Steven Fine is the Managing Director of KBC Peel Hunt with overall management responsibility for the firm. Mr Fine transferred to KBC Peel Hunt in 2006 from KBC Financial Products (formerly D. E. Shaw Securities Intl), where he was a founder member, Managing Director and Head of Equities. Mr Fine holds an Accountancy degree.

Edward Horton – Managing Director
Ed joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1994 as a generalist salesman. He became Head of Sales in 2001, then joined the board as a director in 2003.

Max Royde – Managing Director
Max joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1999. He’s been involved in numerous transactions and fundraisings including private placements, floats, secondary issues and M&A.
Before joining KBC Peel Hunt and specialising in technology sales, Max worked as a telecoms analyst.

David Davies – Head of Corporate Finance
David joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1996. He’s provided capital markets and M&A advice to numerous clients, primarily in the real estate, construction and support services sectors, and has been head of corporate finance since June 2006.
David studied Modern History at Cambridge University. He then joined Touche Ross & Co (now Deloitte) and qualified as a chartered accountant, before transferring to the corporate finance department in 1987.

Marianne Woods – Head of Corporate Broking
Marianne has worked in the City for over 20 years. She started in general Equity Sales, and was then head of sales and research for smaller companies at both James Capel (now part of HSBC) and S.G. Securities. After leaving sales, she worked in Corporate Broking at Panmure Gordon before joining KBC Peel Hunt’s Corporate Broking department in 2007. Marianne has a BSc in chemistry and an MA, both from Durham University.

Charles Hall – Head of Research
Charles joined KBC as Head of Research in October 2008. He was Head of Small & Midcap Research for nine years at Panmure Gordon having started his career at Cazenove, where he worked for eight years. Charles was rated the number one analyst in the Consumer Sector in the 2008 Extel awards and was AIM Analyst of the year in 2007. He has also been involved in a large number of flotations and fundraisings.

Kurt Mayer – Head of Sales Trading
Kurt joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2003, managing our institutional client base before becoming head of sales trading in 2006. With 11 years’ experience of sales to long-only institutional clients, he crossed to sales trading in 1999 to provide a sales trading service to client dealing desks. Previously, Kurt worked for CAI Cheauveux where he set up their UK institutional sales trading desk.

Iain Morgan – Head of Market Making
Iain joined KBC Peel Hunt in 2002, becoming head of market making in 2005. During this time he has worked on various pitches in the healthcare, biotech, engineering and real estate sectors.
Iain studied economics at Newcastle University, and was an investment trust trader for both Cazenove and Merril Lynch.

Simon Chambers – Head of Operations
Simon joined KBC Peel Hunt in 1999 to manage the compliance function. In 2001 he became Head of Operations.
Previously, Simon has worked for the Metropolitan Police, along with the Financial Services Authority and the Securities and Futures Authority.

Jane Platten – Head of Human Resources
Jane was one of the original seven to join KBC Peel Hunt in 1989, and is now head of human resources.
Previously, she’s been PA to many of the directors, including Charles Peel and Christopher Holdsworth Hunt.
